Villa Museum Villa Rulludd tells the story of summer living and villa life in Espoo. The Kihlman family’s summer paradise is a fine example of early villa architecture in the archipelago and coastal areas of Uusimaa. Summer living spread to the archipelago in the 1860s with the rise of steamship traffic. Residents of Helsinki built and rented summer villas to enjoy a simpler life and connect with nature. The maritime atmosphere of past summers can still be felt at the museum.

The museum is located on the upper floor of Villa Rulludd. It is open on the first Sunday of each month from 11 AM to 3 PM, and admission is free. Welcome to explore the golden age of Espoo’s villa life in the 1930s!
