Muoviamo invites you to embark on a transformative journey where you can give plastic waste a second chance. The journey starts in your own surroundings: you will collect plastic that has reached the end of its original life cycle, and you will have the power to shape its future.

The next stage of the journey starts when the Muoviamo mobile plastic laboratory arrives at the WeeGee Exhibition Centre on 18–19 October 2025. In guided workshops, the plastic waste you have gathered will be given new life as a work of art, a practical object or a piece of jewellery, becoming a message for a more sustainable tomorrow.

The journey of the plastic will be documented in photographs, capturing its origin, transformation and new purpose. These images will be compiled into a virtual exhibition.

Registration for the art mob will open soon on the Muoviamo website at muoviamo.fi/taideisku. You will receive detailed instructions on collecting materials and attending the workshop upon registration.

Dialogues – Open Art Workshop

Sat 18 Oct, 1–3 pm, EMMA, 2nd floor

We will try out different surprising ways of sending messages. How can we get our message across, for example with a hearing trumpet or through touch? In the workshop we will use fun task cards and various tools. Together we will also build string telephones to take home, made from recycled materials such as used yoghurt cups.

The non-stop workshop can be joined at any time according to your own schedule. For all ages – children with their accompanying adult. Adults are also welcome to participate without a child. No knowledge of Finnish is required.

Participation with a museum ticket (20/10 €, free entry for under 18s).

Workshop at KAMU WeeGee: Craft a mini disco ball from a CD

During autumn break, stardust fills the air at KAMU WeeGee!

At the workshop on Saturday, October 18th from 12 to 2 PM, you can craft your own mini disco ball using old CDs.
