In the animation hobby, you’ll bring your favourite characters to life through the power of animation. In this hobby, you’ll learn to create your own animations and plan entire stories together with the instructor and new friends. You don’t need any prior skills; this hobby is a great way to learn together. Let your imagination and creativity soar in the animation club!

Registration for hobby groups will open on Thursday 21 August. Hobby groups will start in week 37, on Monday, 8 September 2025 onwards. The hobby groups will meet weekly throughout the school year unless otherwise stated. The hobby groups do not meet during school holidays. The hobbies are free of charge for the participants. The City of Espoo has insured the hobby group participants.

Everyone is welcome to hobby groups regardless of their language skills, functional capacity or past hobbies. Support for participation is available. When registering, please notify any support needs your child might have or if there is anything else of note, so that the hobby organiser can take it into account in their activities and make participating easier.

The organiser of the hobby group contacts the guardians about the practical arrangements for the hobby. Please contact the hobby organiser if you want to cancel your child’s participation or if you have questions about the hobby. It is possible to try out the hobby groups before signing up.

The Espoo Hobby Path offers free hobbies according to children’s and young people’s wishes. The activities are for pupils in grades 3–9 and take place after school days at school premises, near the school or via remote connection. The Espoo Hobby Path implements the national Finnish Model for Leisure Activities in Espoo. The principles of a safer space are applied in the hobby groups.
