Tove Jansson's enchanting Kuka lohduttaisi Nyytiä (Who will comfort Toffle?) is a story about loneliness, fear and all-conquering love that has been performed for audiences for five decades. This concert is a classic that has warmed hearts from one generation to another.

The touching nature, timeless content, many nuances and outstanding music of this performance have made it an enduring favourite.

Musicians Reijo Karvonen and Esa-Markku Juutilainen take to the stage to perform songs that skilfully tell the story. The texts were translated into Finnish by Kirsi Kunnas. Tove Jansson’s magnificent illustrations of the story provide the backdrop for the concert.
