Mikko Joensuu is a highly praised singer-songwriter, and his latest album Long Ark was released in January 2024 after a seven-year break. The 82-minute album, featuring ten tracks, has garnered international acclaim. The album's release concert in February 2024 at the Helsinki Musiikkitalo was sold out.

Mikko Joensuu's album trilogy Amen (released between 2015-2017) was a unique work of art that earned him a Teosto Award. He is also known as the lead vocalist of the band Joensuu 1685.
