The concept of the exhibition featuring Saastamoinen Foundation’s Art Collection at EMMA is being renewed. The exhibition will be renewed section by section. The new Dialogues exhibition is based on curatorial juxtapositions that showcase the foundation’s recent acquisitions. The previously opened sections, Listening to Silence and Human and Nature, are still on display.

The exhibition also includes a media space equipped with EMMA’s state-of-the-art technology, displaying Saastamoinen Foundation’s new media art acquisitions. Artist Jani Ruscica has curated an ensemble of three media works, first of which will be seen as a part of the Dialogues exhibition and the other two in the exhibitions media space during the year 2024.

The route to the main entrance

The 2 accessible parking spaces are located outdoors over 10 m from the entrance. The width of the parking spaces is at least 3.6 m.
The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.
The passage has at least 4 steps with handrails on both sides. The steps are marked with contrast stripes.
The route has a ramp over 6 m long without an intermediate landing, with handrails on one side.

The main entrance

The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.

In the facility

The customer service point is located on floor 2.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift cannot be felt with fingers. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
The doors in the customer service point stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
The customer service point has a toilet marked as accessible on floor -1. The toilet door cannot be easily opened and closed.
