The idea for the Lopunajan iltamat event (“End-time evening jam”) might have been the brain child of Hepa Halme but the initial seeds were sowed already a few years ago with Pekko and Faarao’s collaboration with Halme Prospekt and Bad Ass Brass Band. The spontaneously established spiritual connection and common composing language created a compelling need to expand and deepen cooperation.

The combination's common denominator is the unique combination of the Finnish-Ugric and Afro-American traditions. Add improvisation and the spiritual dimension, and the end result is a kind of universal blues.

The combination of these elements was the origin of the Lopunajan Iltamat concept. Its afterlife theme refers both to death and to the wider mental landscapes that reach out to cosmic dimensions.

The set list of the event consists of the best of the artists, Grateful Dead and Lou Reed covers, as well as laid-back adaptations of old Pietistic hymns.

The cafeteria is open during the event. In addition to seats, partly standing space is available.

The concert will be held in the Sello Hall lobby.
