Espoo’s new master plan is being prepared collaboratively! The multi-year project will kick off in autumn 2022, which is when we will be establishing the objectives of the master plan together. The events are being organised collaboratively by the Espoo City Planning Department and Espoo City Library.

From 15:00 to 19:00:

Five themed stands:
- Meet master planning experts for free-form discussions. - Learn more about the master plan and its themes: transport, housing & energy, services & jobs, nature, recreation & cultural environments.

The master plan is being prepared collaboratively stand:
- See and hear how information collected from residents is being utilised in master planning.
- Share your own thoughts with the people shaping the future of Espoo.

Innoduel survey stand:
- Prioritise the things that you would like to see in Espoo in the future with the help of an easy online survey.
- You will also get to share your own answer to the question: What would you like Espoo to have in the future?

Drawing workshop for children:
- Learn about the future, Espoo and the urban environment through inspiring children’s books.
- Contribute to a communal piece of art by drawing your own hopes and ideas for the future on a giant roll of paper.

You can also contribute to the future of Espoo by answering an easy quick survey. It can be done effortlessly on a mobile phone or computer. All responses are anonymous. The survey will be open until 20 November.

The survey is divided into two phases:

In phase 1, you will compare different options for what could be on the cards for Espoo in the future. The survey will ask you to always choose from two options the one that you feel is more important.

In phase 2, you will be asked to give your own answer to the question: What would you like Espoo to have in the future?

The results will be used as background information in the preparation of the Espoo master plan for 2060.

This event is a residents’ evening in accordance with Espoo’s new resident engagement model to be published in 2022. In the future, the City will organise residents’ evenings centred around various themes in different areas. Coordinated by the City, these events will be open to everyone. Participating for part of the time is also possible, and at least some of every event will always be accessible online.
