Alexander Glazunov: Rêverie orientale op. 14/2
Petr Tchaikovsky: Serenade for Strings in C major op. 48

Tchaikovsky’s Serenade is filled with Slavic melancholy but also a touch of happy elegance. Glazunov, on the other hand, imagined the Silk Road stretching across steppes and mountains and the dreamy, unhurried mood of the mythical Orient in his Rêverie orientale.

Scheduled in the early evening on Fridays, our After Work concerts offer a relaxing start to the weekend. Each concert lasts about one hour without an interval and includes the conductor talking about the works performed. You are also welcome to enjoy a cup or glass of something at Tapiola Hall.
