Every application on our phones tries to shove serving suggestions down our throats. Author and speech artist Jenni Janakka got fed up with egocentrism and put together a monolog that uses columns and stand up to explore the unbearable heaviness of being. ‘Serving Suggestion’ is a play about the world we all live in.

Jenni Janakka is known for her ‘Röyhkeyskoulu’ with which she has toured around Finland since 2017. A book with the same title was published in January 2019. Janakka is the producer and one of the hosts of the popular sex podcast ‘Himocast’. Janakka has also scripted and directed the TV programme ‘Hyvät ja huonot uutiset’.

‘Could someone tell me how to be?’ What to think? What to eat and what to wear? How to be an individual persona and communicate to other people that I myself came up with this all?’
