Join us for an inspiring nature art walk!

The event is intended for people with a migrant background living in Espoo. The excursion is free of charge and will be conducted in English and in easy Finnish.

During the nature walk, you will have the opportunity to try nature photography guided by an artist, using your own phone. You can also try writing nature-inspired poetry. No prior experience is required. The excursion will be led by artist Naser Bayat and nature guide Karoliina Pääkkö.

The walk covers an easy 2–3 km distance in nature at a relaxed pace. There will also be a break by a campfire.

The destination is Haltia Nature Centre in Nuuksio. The excursion is suitable for people of all physical abilities.

You may bring your own water bottle and, if you wish, some snacks. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

The excursion promotes wellbeing, joy, and refreshment!


Arrival:

The meeting point is outside the main entrance of Haltia Nature Centre (Nuuksiontie 84, 02820 Espoo). You can reach the location, for example, by bus 245A from Espoo Centre.

Registration:

A maximum of 20 participants will be accepted in order of registration. Please register by Thursday, August 20 at 15:00 via this form.(external link, opens in a new window) After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.


The excursion is part of the project UUSI KULMA – Culture and Nature Activities in Uusimaa. The project is co-funded through the Supporting Sustainable Growth and Vitality in the Regions (AKKE) grant issued by the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council.
