Espoo is selling an old school building with a leasehold right in Nuuksio through open bidding

Bidding starts on 1 August 2025 and ends on 31 October 2025 at 12:00.

The City of Espoo is selling an old school building with a leasehold right in Nuuksio through an open bidding competition. The building will be sold to a company, community or other entity for use allowed by the master plan. The building will be sold to the highest bidder whose business idea is suitable for the historically valuable building. The City of Espoo seeks to sell properties that it no longer needs.

The school is located in the Siikajärvi district (Heinästie 19, 02820 Espoo), in a master plan area designated as an area for public services and administration (PY). Possible activities in a PY area include school, early childhood education, and social welfare activities.

The school was built in 1951 and used until the summer of 2022. The gross floor area of the building is 760 square metres. The building includes the actual school facilities and a teachers’ housing wing. The deal includes the playground equipment in the yard. The building requires renovation.

The old school building is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. The Hista station, which is being planned as part of the West Railway project, will be about two kilometres from the property.

The building will be sold with a leasehold right. The leased area is 10,036 square metres. The property identifier of the site is 49-441-6-88.

All bidders must participate in a showing before making a bid. Showings will be held in August and September 2025 as follows:

  • Tuesday 12 August, 9:00–12:00
  • Friday 15 August, 11:00–14:00
  • Monday 1 September, 10:00–13:00
  • Friday 5 September, 11:00–14:00
