Espoo Catering 10 years – the anniversary year also visible on menus
Espoo Catering Oy celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, and the anniversary year is also visible on the menus. This spring, we will celebrate the birthday week in schools and daycare centres, as our customers’ favourite foods will be on the menu for the whole week!
The year 2026 is an important anniversary year for us: Espoo Catering Oy turns 10. We are involved in the everyday lives of Espoo residents from daycare centres to schools and workplaces – where the people of Espoo enjoy their daily lunch.
Favourite foods during our birthday week
To celebrate the anniversary, we are organising the EC X FOOD Birthday Favourites week, which we will celebrate in Espoo schools and daycare centres during May Day week.
The poll at the beginning of the year inspired children, young people and entire families to share their favourite foods. Based on the poll results, we created the birthday week menu from the most requested dishes.
Lunch dishes have transformed in 10 years
Over the past decade, school meals have transformed greatly. Familiar favourites can still be found on the plate, but a lot of new things have come alongside it. Plant-based food is now a natural part of everyday life, salad tables have diversified, and at the seasoning point, everyone can finish the meal to suit their taste.
Perhaps the best part is that the whole world is now visible on the plate: flavours from around the world bring variation alongside traditional foods.
