Early childhood education, school and student groups
Our services are free of charge for early childhood education, pre-primary and school groups together with their teachers. The service menu can be found at the bottom of the page.
Bookings
The Lagstad School Museum is open for groups by appointment. Visits must be booked at least two weeks in advance by calling Tue–Thu from 1–3 pm, tel. +358 40 6344307. Groups with a prior reservation can come to the museum from 9 am onwards.
Group information
When you book your museum visit, please give the group size, age of the pupils, name of the daycare or school, and the contact information of the group leader. We are happy to accommodate special needs – please mention them when booking!

Snacks
You may eat your own snacks in the School Museum. The museum building has a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, and coffee tableware for 35 people (used dishes must be washed by hand).
Preparing for the museum visit
It is a good idea to prepare for the museum visit in advance with your group and talk about why you are going to the museum and what you will see there.
Weather‑appropriate clothing is important. The indoor spaces of the School Museum are small, so the visit usually includes time spent outdoors as well.
Please remember that pupils remain the teacher’s responsibility throughout the entire museum visit!
