Music groups and events at Espoo City Library
Welcome to make music together! You can see all the music groups organized by Espoo libraries on this page.
Would you like to play the ukulele, participate in a drum jam, or take part in a Band Course For Young People? Everyone is welcome to the music groups at Espoo City Library.
No registration is required. Library provides instruments that participants can borrow for the duration of the session. The groups are led by music educators Sakari Heikka and Lauri Iljin. Group instruction in Finnish and, if necessary, in English, unless otherwise stated.
Music Groups for Adults and Seniors
Ukulele advanced group: Mondays at 5:00–6:15 pm. At Tapiola Library, Heikki Event Space, starting January 19.
Ukulele, Intermediate Group: Thursdays at 4:30–5:30 pm. At Sello Library, Jam Corner.
Ukulele Jam Session: Fridays at 5:00–6:00 pm. At Tapiola Library, Heikki Event Space.
The jam sessions are led by the participants themselves. Everyone is welcome to suggest songs. Instruments other than ukulele are also welcome.
Drum Jam: Once a month at Sello Library, Jam Corner.
Sing Along: About once a month at Singing Together Lippulaiva Library, Singing Together Kalajärvi Library, andSinging Together in Matinkylä Iso Omena Library. (Group instrunction only of Finnish),
Brain training and body control for seniors: Every other Tuesday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Music Playschool for babies with parents (Group Instruction in Finnish)
Twice a week at different libraries. Note: Registration is required! Event is aimed at children aged 3 months to 3 years. Search for events on the Events page using the keyword Muskarit.
Children’s Music Orchestra Svengaavat hirvet (Performance in Finnish)
The children’s music orchestra Svengaavat hirvet performs well-known children’s songs with a fresh and lively approach. During the concert, children are encouraged to participate by singing, dancing, and playing along with the music. The concert is free of charge. Please register groups of more than 10 children using the Webropol form available on Kulps.

Sello Library Music Festival
Sello Library music festival, where library customers can perform, are held twice a year—in spring and autumn. Performers can sign up once the event advertisements are published.
