KULPS library path

Espoo City Library offers various services for groups in English. 
They are open for English-language education classes in Espoo. 
Each class may reserve one guided library visit per school year.

For material requests, please contact your nearest library.

You can book an introductory visit for a school group. The visits are designed especially for 1st and 7th grades, but all classes are welcome. Please use this form to request a guided visit.

Workshop to inspire and encourage diverse reading habits. The students get to sample different genres or styles, discuss their differences, and try something new. The content of the workshop varies depending on the grade. Please note this workshop is only available in some regional libraries (Sello, Iso Omena, Lippulaiva, Entresse). The duration of the workshop is approximately 45 minutes.

What is poetry? Where do you start? Does it have to rhyme? Can it be about anything? This workshop gets you playing with words and language. Everyone gets to take home a poem of their own. A fun, easy, and inspiring workshop that introduces the students to poetry and creativity. The aim is to encourage children to use language in a creative manner. Suitable for all grade levels. The duration of the workshop is approximately 45 minutes.

Library bingo is suitable for grades 1.-5. You can visit any library at your own time and convenience. The bingo can be filled in at the library or afterwards. The printable bingo sheet can be downloaded from the materials section below.

This activity is suitable for grades 3-9 and above. Build a treasure map into the world of books together with your class! Use book slips to map new finds and build paths with the code key. The instructions and templates can be downloaded from the materials sections below. 

Diplomas are a fun way of finding something new and different to read.
Each teacher can decide on the best way to use the diplomas.
