The Technical Services Committee
The Technical Services Committee contributes to the basic conditions of urban life in Espoo, for example by providing services related to streets, green areas and city surveying. Through its operations, the committee promotes Espoo’s goal of being carbon-neutral.
The Public Works Department that operates under the guidance and supervision of the Technical Services Committee is, among other things, responsible for:
- the planning and construction of streets and other traffic routes, public areas and green areas;
- the maintenance of streets, green areas and other public areas;
- city surveying, geotechnical and geographic data services;
- municipal parking control.
The Technical Services Committee approves plans for streets, main parks and other public areas, for example. The Public Works Department provides some of its own services while others are outsourced.
The Technical Services Committee has 13 members.
