Collaboration with Aalto University and the SaaS (School as a Service) model make the school have its very own image and atmosphere. A special program for athletes also gives Haukilahti High School some extra flavor. Approx. 200 international and national level athletes have found a way to brilliantly combine high level sports and studying in our high school.

The Mattlidens gymnasium upper secondary school is the largest Swedish-language upper secondary school in Finland, and it offers a wide range of studies. We have both a Swedish-language upper secondary school and an English-language IB programme. The upper secondary school focuses on well-being, student participation and preparatory activities for higher education. The upper secondary school has about 700 students, of whom about 150 are studying in the English-language IB programme.

For several years now, we have organised visits for groups from all around the world. During the visits, our students act as guides. This has won us a lot of praise from our visitors. The students usually present our school and the Finnish education system in English, but our language selection can also include options like Spanish. Our music students always perform for our visitors. Visitors also have the opportunity to talk with teachers and observe teaching in classrooms.

At the Otaniemen lukio general upper secondary school, we offer modern facilities for our 1,200 students. Our school is located in the Otaniemi campus area, next to the Aalto University metro station. We offer both science and art and have a general programme, a mathematics and science programme and a theatre and media programme. We have an international club through which students present our school’s activities. We also have several Erasmus projects under way.
