Saunalahti joint comprehensive school is a local school open for everyone. School year 2025-2026 in Saunalahti school studies 800 pupils grades 1-9. We emphasize each pupil's strengths and strive to maintain the joy of learning. In our school, the child and the young person are in the center of activities. The school focuses on sustainable development as a Vihreä lippu (Green flag) school as well as on art and physical education as part of different learning processes. These themes have been considered when designing the facilities. Our school implements co-operative and parallel teaching. Our adult community, together with the pupils, forms an actively functioning expert community which continuously learns new things. Diverse sharing of competencies is a central building block for developing the communal spirit. In our school, an individual learning plan is provided for each pupil, which ensures that the pupil has every opportunity to reach for his/her own best. Instruction during pre-primary and early years is not tied to grades. Most vital partners for individualized learning are the guardians, and special needs teachers, in the good spirit of educational partnership.
