Aurora Quarter

Aurora Quarter’s event facilities in Järvenperä, Espoo. A warm-hearted and distinctive setting for public events, as well as private and corporate functions.

The Children’s Cultural Center Aurora is located in a charming wooden block dating back to the 1860s, consisting of three buildings: Meijeri (the Dairy), Tilanhoitajan talo (the Steward’s House), and Taidetalo (the Art House). The first of three, Tilanhoitajan talo, was relocated to the site, and the others were built by Aurora Karamzin, a well-known pioneer of social work and influential figure in Finnish society. The buildings were designed by architect Axel Hampus Dalström, whose famous works include Restaurant Kappeli and the Old Student House in Helsinki.

Over the years, the buildings have served various purposes, such as a dairy school for young women, Träskända Elementary School, and a summer camp for city children.

Today, in addition to our cultural activities, the block offers warm and distinctive settings for both everyday events and celebrations. Our center can be rented for private occasions, giving you and your group exclusive access to our spaces and equipment.

In Taidetalo, you can easily host unforgettable children’s parties with plenty of activities and space for dancing, singing, and playing. Meijeri again provides elegant and festive surroundings with ready-made layouts for a variety of celebrations. With our stage technology, we can create extra atmosphere with lighting and high-quality sound. From Tilanhoitajan talo, professionals in the cultural field can rent workspaces.
