Pink sweater

Written by Emma Degerlund

Did you see that pink sweater in her wardrobe? It was hanging on a white wire hanger. It was to the far right, beside those worn out jeans and that white tennis skirt.

Yeah, that sweater.

It had never been used.

The pricetag was still attached when we checked. 27,99. Polyester and cotton. It seemed untouched. Might as well have been still hanging in the store.

What a pity that it has to go to waste like this. A perfectly good sweater. It is never going to be worn. All because of something that happened in another room.

This isn't about sweaters... is it?

Well, to some extent it is. I have it in the trunk of my car. We're taking it to the landfill a couple kilometres away.

Why? If it was in perfect condition, you might as well give it to your daughter.

Oh no, my daughter is too small for that sweater. And anyway, who wants to wear a dead girl's clothes?
