The City of Espoo’s hobby search has been developed to meet the needs of children and young people looking for hobbies. The driving principle behind the service is the city’s goal to provide every child and young person with at least one meaningful hobby.
The online hobby search service brings together the city’s local leisure activities and their providers in one place. There are plenty of options for guided recreation and more ambitious activities around Espoo and remotely.
The service offers free cultural activities and sports, online hobbies and other activities, such as cooking events, organised by the City of Espoo.
The Espoo Hobby Path, which implements the Finnish model for leisure activities in Espoo, organises leisure activities especially in schools, according to the wishes of children and young people in grades 3–9. The city also offers a wide range of fun high-quality activities together with Espoo-based sports clubs and sports companies for families with young children, primary school children and young people aged 13–20.
The hobby search also includes leisure activities organised by Espoo’s Youth Services, holiday camps and recreational activities organised by various Espoo-based associations and providers of basic education in the arts.
Information on recreational activities is published online in Finnish, Swedish and English.
