Children from the Kvis Daghem day care centre reflected on their home city in the spirit of the 50th anniversary year. While they were colouring the logos given by the Communications Unit, we talked about the home city based on the information of the day care personnel and the views of the children.

The metro is the absolute number one thing for kids. However, the logos were not coloured in orange. Instead, the children’s own favourite colours determined the palette of colours used.

At present, the logos are on display on the wall of the day care centre. On the last day of May, laminated logos will be used as decorations for the day care centre’s end-of-term spring celebration in the local park.

“Five years ago, the theme of our end-of-term spring celebration was Finland’s 100th anniversary, and now we will celebrate in the same spirit Espoo’s 50th anniversary as a city,” says early childhood education teacher Jenny Lagerholm
