The nearly 120-year-old Art Nouveau-style Villa Elfvik offers multi-sensory information about nature for the whole family. With its stained glass and decorative tiled stoves, the Nature House is impressive in itself and ideal for a visit during the Christmas season.

The Nature House Villa Elfvik is a wonderful place to visit during the holidays.

“In the interactive Long Live Espoo exhibition, you can, among other things, learn the sounds of birds, pet the fur of a fox, or explore how you can contribute to the preservation of nature with your own actions,” says Planning Officer Katri Luukkonen.

“Young visitors may also be interested in the Badger’s Forest, our upstairs playground. Adults can explore, for example, our Sustainable Lifestyle Path and test their waste sorting skills.”

In addition to the permanent exhibition, Villa Elfvik features temporary exhibitions. From the end of November until Epiphany, the walls will be decorated with landscape photos by Kirsi MacKenzie.

“With magnificent photos of landscapes and nature’s details, we want to make visitors see how great the nature we have is. What you value, you want to protect,” says Luukkonen.

The best nature photos of 2023 will be on display from 10 January to 10 March 2024.
