Arrival and accessibility at the Exhibition Centre WeeGee in summer 2024
The yard of the Exhibition Centre WeeGee will be renovated in summer 2024. The yard renovation will not affect WeeGee’s opening hours, as all the museums, exhibitions and services in the exhibition centre will be open as normal throughout the summer.
Parking
The parking spaces subject to a fee for passenger cars are located in the Kulttuuriparkki parking facility at Ahertajankuja 5 and at the end of the WeeGee building at Ahertajantie 5. Both parking spaces are accessed via Ahertajankuja. The parking space between Exhibition Centre WeeGee and Museum Leikki and Kruunu will be out of use due to the renovation.
Accessible parking
There are 3 accessible parking spaces. The accessible parking spaces are located in front of the exhibition centre, on the left side of the main entrance as of July 2nd. Read more about WeeGee's accessibility on this page. We will update this page with the latest information as the yard renovation progresses.
Public transport
Coming to WeeGee using public transport is easy. The Tapiola metro station is about a 10-minute walk away from WeeGee. Buses 111, 113, 548 and 549, as well as local buses 116 and 119, come to the intersection of Ahertajantie and Pohjantie at the stop “WeeGee”. The nearest city bike station is located in the vicinity of the Exhibition Centre WeeGee on Ahertajantie. Check the availability of bikes on the HSL website(external link, opens in a new window).
For groups
In June–September, buses are not allowed to drive or park in the WeeGee yard area, and driving to Ahertajantie is not allowed. Buses can use Pohjantie bus stops E2107 and E2108 to drop off and pick up visitor groups. The walking distance from the bus stops to WeeGee’s main entrance is approximately 300 metres. If necessary, buses can be parked in the Metro Areena/Urheilupuisto parking areas at Urheilupuistontie 2 and 3 for the duration of the visits.
