Since 2014, this work has captivated audiences around the world. Now spanning the Tapiola Ice Garden, the work will be a constantly evolving, impressive experience, depending on weather conditions.

Dan Acher's work brings one of nature's most fascinating phenomena to cities around the world. According to Acher, Borealis tells of our ancestors' connection to nature and our modern, compulsive desire to control it. The work makes us wonder whether technology will one day replace everything that nature offers us.

In Tapiola, Espoo, you can experience the work while skating in the middle of it. The art work opened at Espoo's New Year's Eve celebration on December 31 and will be on display until January 6.
