Teuvo Kanerva was a productive photographer who moved to Tapiola, Espoo with his family in the 1960s. The new hometown spoke to the young photographer, who actively recorded the life of Espoo residents, the cityscape, the architecture and the courtyards.
Once Happened exhibition focuses on people. Kanerva’s approach for documenting his subjects is warm.
The photographs by Teuvo Kanerva are not only artistically great, but also form a valuable part of Espoo’s cultural heritage.
The delightful book “Neighbourhood pictures, Photographs by Teuvo Kanerva from the 1960s and 1970s” is available at EMMA Shop and KAMU.
