Järvenperän koulu

Järvenperän koulu is located in Espoo and was built in 2000. There are nearly 400 students and over 30 teachers. The school is located in the historically significant area, in the vicinity of the Träskändä park and mansion. Therefore we have great possibilities to explore nature and the history of our culture.

In our school we have an emphasis on natural sciences and mathematics. We have a so called LUMA- class on each grade. There are admittance exams to get into these LUMA-classes. In addition, there are special classes for disabled students. We also have a very active parents' union called HIMAKKA. The members of HIMAKKA are actively involved with developing our school. In the school premises functions also ESKO, the Espoo school of performing arts.
