Support for informal care
An informal carer is a close relative of an elderly person, a person with a disability or a sick person, who is responsible for the care of their family member. The informal carer makes an informal care agreement with the municipality. Support for informal care includes care payment, informal carer's leave and other services necessary for ensuring care. The decision to grant support for informal care is always based on the employee's assessment, which is made in cooperation with the informal carer and the person being cared for. The amount of the payment for informal care is determined on the basis of how binding and demanding the care is.
