Physiotherapy aims to maintain or improve the client's ability to function. The aim is to support independent management of mobility and daily functions. Physiotherapy provides individual and group activities that aim to develop mobility and functional capacity through evidence-based physiotherapy. If necessary, we also organize follow-up appointments.
During the appointment the physiotherapist will examine the client and provide instructions on how to relieve pain and improve mobility. You will meet your therapist 1-5 times. If necessary we also organize follow-up appointments.
In problems with the musculoskeletal system you may be assigned to direct access physiotherapy based on an assessment of the need for treatment by a nurse or the physiotherapy time reservation. In direct access physiotherapy the therapist can prescribe sick leave if necessary.
The assessment of need- and treatment plan for lymphatic therapy is done individually and requires a doctor’s referral. A lymphatic therapy assessment is done primarily if a severe lymphatic edema is caused by cancer surgery, radiation therapy, recurring erysipelas-infections and/or its acute aftercare. Comprehensive lymphatic therapy always includes self-administered compression therapy, therapeutic exercise, and active self-care.
Video appointments are suitable for follow-up appointments if you need additional instructions for exercise or physical activity. During the appointment, the physiotherapist can also assess your rehabilitation process.
You can now also book your first appointment as a video appointment.
