Notification to the Rescue Department concerning a fire safety or accident risk
The Rescue Department must be notified of any fire hazards and accident risks without delay. However, if an accident is imminent, you must call the emergency number 112. If the authorities observe an obvious fire hazard or any other accident risk in a building, apartment or other location, they must notify the rescue authority of the matter without being impeded by possible confidentiality regulations. This notification obligation also applies to a municipality, other public communities and personnel employed by these as well as the operator and personnel responsible for maintaining a care institution and for the organisation of service and supported housing. Accident risks may include, for example, a significant amount of flammable material inside an apartment or dangerous setups of electrical equipment.
