Long-term family care
Long-term family care means organising 24-hour care in the home of a trained family carer. The family carer is responsible for the client's care and good everyday life. Long-term family care is intended for adults with intellectual disabilities who need assistance in their daily lives several times a day. The family carer is also present at night, but if the client needs a significant amount of night-time care, a housing unit is a more suitable form of housing. The suitability of the service for the client is always determined in connection with the service needs assessment.
