Child welfare clinic services

The purpose of maternity clinics is to support and protect the health of pregnant women and their unborn children. Child health clinics support the health, growth and development of children under school age. Together with the clinic staff, families get to discuss their health habits and other issues and questions they wish to bring up. It is also important to discuss difficult issues that burden a family, as this will make it possible to plan the required help and support measures as early as possible together with the family and other family services. Our clinics give children the vaccines included in the national vaccination programme. Services are provided as appointments of different durations at the clinics, as group sessions, as home visits and remotely. Appointments can be booked by phone or through the online appointment booking system. You can use the online system to book health check appointments for children aged 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 5 and 6 years. Other periodic health check appointments must be booked by phone. The services of our open clinics are meant for clients who briefly need to visit a maternity and child health clinic. For example, you can visit an open clinic to have your child's weight and height checked or to have your child vaccinated according to the vaccination programme, and pregnant women can have their blood pressure or haemoglobin measured. The open clinics do not treat sudden illnesses.
