Self-service libraries

Self-service libraries are equipped with a system that enables you to use the library independently. Before you can use self-service libraries, you must register as a user and accept the self-service library rules. You can register at any Helmet library.

During the self-service hours, there is no staff in the library, but the premises are monitored using electronic surveillance like cameras. You can access a self-service library using your library card and PIN code after you have registered as a user.

In a self-service library, library users can usually borrow and return materials, use computers, read magazines and newspapers, work or have meetings. A wireless network is available.

These libraries can be used outside the main opening hours.
