Group reservations for summer 2021

Pentala Archipelago Museum is open for groups from 10 am to 5 pm:

Mon-Sun 5.6.-29.8.
Mon-Fri 30.8.-9.9.
Outside of the normal opening hours on request: €150/every beginning hour + tour fees.

Please book your group visit at least a week in advance!
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all guided tours, apart from the Weathervane and gateposts package, will take place outdoors.

First select a suitable transport option for your group and then read about the programme, catering and meeting facility options. Charter boats and guided nature walks should be booked directly with the service providers. Meal reservations for Archipelago Restaurant Paven can be made by contacting the restaurant.

The pandemic may cause some changes to group visits. The museum reserves the right to changes and cancellations, depending on the local guidelines.


Prebooked activities in the museum area

The pandemic is having an effect on the tour group sizes. Therefore, the allowed group size may change according to the local guidelines.

Max. 24 people/guided tour. The group tours are organised by experienced guides from Espoo City Museum. If necessary, prebooked tours will take advantage of a loudspeaker or an audio guide system to ensure good sound quality while socially distancing, even in natural settings.

Life by the sea, a guided tour around the museum area

Duration 30–60 minutes depending on a group’s preferences
The tour introduces you to the changing seasons in the archipelago and the life of fishermen, based on your group’s chosen theme (select one).

in addition to the tour fee, entrance fee to Gurli’s house is €10/€8 per person, free with a Museum Card). Gurli’s house can be visited in groups of six.

Life on the island – an active tour around the museum.

Price €140
duration 75–90 minutes depending on a group’s preferences. Suitable for workplace wellbeing days, families, groups of friends, hen nights and stag parties, for example. The tour involves group activities.

18–26 May and 17 August – 3 September 13.30–16.30
5–17 June, 2–16 August and 7–9 September 10.00–16.30.

During the tour, you will hear fascinating stories about the life of fishermen and the history of the archipelago, and become familiar with the daily chores at a fisherman’s home. You will get to test your group work skills by trying out some of these chores, stroke the resident sheep and take a group photo in the style of the early 20th century. Please do not hesitate to ask for more information when making a booking!

Guided nature walks

Guided nature walks take you around Pentala Island and introduce you to the diverse and verdant environment of Espoo’s archipelago. You can book these walks directly from the organisers. We recommend booking a charter or taxi boat for larger groups. You can book a charter boat for your group through the operator. There are several boat operators in Espoo area.

Meals in the museum area

Groups visiting the island may bring their own snacks or purchase coffee from the museum café, Lillstugan. You can enjoy self-catering snacks in Lilla Villan villa, located on the island. Meeting facilities

Villa Rosengård’s meeting room (max. 10 people), incl. a media screen. Coffee may be ordered for a meeting (see Catering). More information about the meeting facilities.
