Work experience through temporary jobs

Do you want to try different kinds of work duties, show your skills, and network?

The jobs of the temporary jobs databank are intended for you who are a 14–29-year-old Espoo resident and: 

  • want to gain work experience and try out different kinds of work duties
  • want to work occasionally
  • want to make a little money.

It is okay if you do not yet have any work experience – the most important thing is that you want to learn new things.

What are the available temporary jobs like

The jobs available include different kinds of temporary jobs at the City of Espoo, organisations, and associations. You can work as an event organiser, club supervisor, photographer, mystery shopper, or assistant for people of different ages, for example. Choose the jobs that interest you. The pay for temporary jobs is €10 per hour.

Yes, I want to work temporary jobs! What do I do?

The temporary jobs are available on the Workpilots service.

How to get started:

1.Download the free application to your phone via Google Play or AppStore or use the browser version.

2. Select ‘Register’. 

3. Make yourself a profile and update your CV (the ‘skills and experience’ section in the profile) – you will also get your own digitally sharable ‘CV page’. Make your CV with care – you can use the same CV in other job applications by, for example, using a sharing link. Upload a photo of yourself and enter information about courses you have completed and other possible skills.

4. Apply for the jobs available.Remember to enter additional information about yourself into the application text related to the job. This helps you stand out from the rests of the applicants. When you are assigned a job and you have performed it, mark it as complete. As the performer of the work you will be paid once the orderer has approved the performance. You always commit to one job at a time. Note: the job advertisements are mainly in Finnish.
