Summer Job Wednesdays offer themed events for under 30-year-old Espoo residents to help them find summer jobs. Summer Job Wednesdays consist of four online events. You can participate in one or more events. The events are free of charge.
18 January: What would be a suitable summer job for me and where can I find one? How do I get started with the job search process?
25 January: How do I use a summer job voucher? Job search support for young people born between 2004 and 2008. How do I employ myself with an entrepreneurship voucher?
1 February: How to get started with the job search process? How to write a good job application and CV?
8 February: Job interview: What do employers ask? How can I cope with my nervousness? What if I mess up?

Hello under 30! Are you looking for a summer job?
At the KesätyöMinimessut (Summer Job Fair), you can meet numerous employers offering summer jobs. Employers can be met at fair environment from 2 to 5 p.m. For example, you can discuss with the employer how their summer job recruitment is handled.

At the event, you will also get help updating your CV and other topics that occupy your mind. If you don't have a CV, you can book an appointment at Employment Espoo's counseling service by emailing neuvontapalvelut@espoo.fi.
You can also take a free photo of yourself for your CV.
The counseling point and CV photography are from 2 to 5 p.m.
At the end of the event, the Sello Stage will be taken over by MaxVol artists $cartier and Aaromikael from 5 p.m.

During the spring, the City of Espoo offers free-of-charge training to 13–29-year-old Espoo residents who want to obtain a work-related certificate (hygiene passport, occupational safety card, alcohol passport, age limit passport, emergency first aid certificate). These certificates can help you find a summer job. Read more in Ohjaamotalo’s news article (in Finnish) and sign up.
Training and tests will be organised in Finnish (with the exception of two hygiene passport training sessions, which will be held in Swedish), so sufficient language skills are required to participate and to pass the test.
Ohjaamotalo’s Starttipiste offers guidance to young people looking for a summer job. The staff can advise you on how to write a job application and a CV. You can find Starttipiste’s opening hours here.
During the winter holiday, we offer summer job guidance especially to young people of comprehensive school age at the libraries of Sello, Iso Omena, Lippulaiva and Entresse (Monday–Wednesday). More information available (in Finnish) here.
In 2023, the summer job voucher is intended for young Espoo residents born between 2004 and 2008. The City of Espoo will pay EUR 300 to all employers who hire a young Espoo resident between 1 May and 30 September using a summer job voucher. Read more about the summer job voucher here. Each year, the City of Espoo distributes Nuori Espoo entrepreneurship vouchers (EUR 300) to 13–28-year-old Espoo residents. In order to receive an entrepreneurship voucher, you must take an entrepreneurship course or otherwise demonstrate the required knowledge and skills. Young people’s entrepreneurship courses are organised by Espoo’s 4H association.

The City of Espoo offers summer jobs to about 400 young people each year. Information on summer jobs will be published from the end of January, and new jobs will become available for application throughout the spring.
