Welcome to the City of Espoo, summer employees!

We provide summer employment for about 400 young people. 

A total of 7,800 applications were submitted. The highest number of summer employees work in property maintenance. This summer, we also hired young people for green area maintenance, assisting tasks in early childhood education and tasks in sports and youth services, such as outdoor recreation area caretakers and lifeguards. Summer jobs are also provided in urban design and financial administration, and at the Environment and Building Control Department. Applicants were most interested in green area work, i.e. park and playground maintenance.

The average summer job duration is one moth.

We also distributed a total of 1,600 summer vouchers. The city pays 300 euros to an employer who hires a young person who lives in Espoo and was born between 2004 and 2008 to work with the employment voucher between 1 May and 30 September.
