Third coronavirus vaccination appointments now available to 50–59-year-old Espoo residents

Appointments to get the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine became available to 50–59-year-old Espoo residents on Tuesday 21 December 2021.

The third dose of the vaccine will be offered to under 60-year-olds one 10-year age group at a time, from the oldest to the youngest. Appointments will become available to the next group when most people in the previous age group have booked their appointments or have been vaccinated.

According to our current estimate, it will take less than two weeks for us to give the third dose to one age group (e.g. 50–59-year-olds), depending on how many people want to get vaccinated. Based on this estimate, the last group (i.e. everyone aged 18 and over) will be able to book their appointments for the third dose in early February 2022 at the latest.

Vaccinations for 5–11-year-olds belonging to risk groups at Iso Omena maternity and child health clinic 22–23 December

Vaccination appointments will also be available to children after Christmas, in week 52 and in January. Guardians can book appointments for their children at bookcovidvaccine.fi. Children must always be accompanied by at least one adult. In Espoo, 5–11-year-olds can only get vaccinated if they have a signed consent form from all guardians. Do you have questions about vaccinations? Check espoo.fi/coronavaccination

We receive a lot of feedback and numerous questions about the coronavirus and vaccinations. We are unfortunately unable to respond to individual messages. The same people who respond to messages are also responsible for organising vaccinations, which means that responding to messages would delay the vaccination process. Before sending us your question, we ask you to first check if you could find an answer on our website at espoo.fi/coronavaccination. Please also read the linked news on the page.

We will provide more information on our vaccination arrangements on Wednesday 22 December 2021.
