Artefact collections

The artefacts in the collection reflect the history of Espoo, for example, everyday life in the old rural parish. We also record the everyday life and celebrations of today’s Espoo residents. The collections include a fire truck, jukebox, feather boa, senator jackets, potash soap, fancy dresses, Barbie shoes and tens of thousands of other items from the five centuries.

Only a small part of the artefacts is exhibited in museum exhibitions, while others are stored in the collection centre. Artefacts can be lent to other professionally managed museums.
Images and data of artefacts are be published, if possible, in the Finna search service.
