The Helmet web library
Helmet is the web service of Espoo, Helsinki, Kauniainen and Vantaa City Libraries. There you´ll find all the information you need of metropolitan area libraries.
The database service consists of library catalogue, information retrieval system, customer record, multisearch from given databases and RSS services.
The library catalogue and all the information pages have open access. Library card and pin code are needed in order to use the customer record "My Account" in the library catalogue. In My Account patrons can browse and renew their loans, reserve library materials, save their reading histories and checklists, rate library materials, save search phrases and update contact information. Using the customer record is protected with SSL encryption.
There is also a mobile version available for information search, renewal of loans and reserving of library materials.
