The art grant is intended for professional artists in Espoo irrespective of art form. You can apply for the grant for short periods (1–3 months) of artistic work. 

The art grant awarded by the City of Espoo corresponds with the artist grants awarded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. For 2021, the grant is EUR 1,960 per month. 

How to apply for the art grant 

Art grants 2022 for short work periods are open for application from 7 February, 2022 to 31 August 2022 until 15:45.  

The art grant is applied for using an application form. The application form can be found at the end of this page. 

The application must be accompanied by: 

  • A curriculum vitae 
  • A work plan for the work period applied for. 

Art grant applications are to be submitted by the deadline to the City of Espoo Registry Office at P.O. Box 1, 02070 City of Espoo. The application documents and appendices may also be submitted electronically to the Registry Office at kirjaamo@espoo.fi. The Culture Committee decides on project grants in the meeting held after the application date.  

The Culture Committee has delegated decision-making power for art grants for short work periods to the Cultural Director for grants of up to €3,000. Office-holder decisions on grants are made on a monthly basis.
