Healthy Espoo development programme

The Healthy Espoo development programme innovates and promotes various ways of addressing the long health care waiting times caused by the coronavirus pandemic and treating and preventing mental health problems.

The programme develops the city’s operations that support a smooth implementation of the health and social services reform, and it also promotes cooperation with organisations and the entire third sector. The programme also develops the residents’ own activities and other work to promote wellbeing, such as the potential of sports, culture and youth work to increase Espoo residents’ health and happiness. The programme develops and steers communications and activities that strengthen resident and customer orientation and promotes the availability of staff as well as resident activities in the implementation of the health and social services reform.
