Committees and Boards
The purpose of committees is to organise and develop services in a resident- and customer-oriented manner, in such a way that the services promote the well-being of municipal residents as well as sustainable development.

Some committees also have subcommittees. The agreements for each committee can be found on their respective Finnish websites.
Boards have been established for public utilities, which include the Premises Department and the Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department. The Premises and Housing Subcommittee of the City Board acts as the executive board of the Premises Department public utility.
The committees and boards issue policy proposals concerning their own domain to the City Board in order to develop services and operation. They supervise and control the operations of their own domain. They also manage the planning, development and monitoring of operations, economy and the organisation.
