The Iso Omena and Kalajärvi Service Centres will be closed on May Day, 1 May 2020. This also applies to all remote services that many Service Centre units offer instead of face-to-face services during the coronavirus situation.
On May Day Eve, 30 April 2020, the mental health and substance abuse clinic at the Iso Omena Service Centre will be open from 8:00 to 16:00, meaning that it will close earlier than usual. All other Service Centre units that are still open regardless of the exceptional situation will have normal opening hours on May Day Eve.
Up-to-date information about changes to the services at both Service Centres is available in a news article which we will update as the situation changes.
Celebrate May Day at home
The authorities have advised us to stay at home and this also applies on May Day.
Iso Omena Library, located at the Iso Omena Service Centre, will host a music jam session on Facebook on Wednesday, 29 April at 16:30. Join the event, sing and play with the musicians from the comfort of your sofa. Play your favourite instrument, sing along or just enjoy the music. The event will include songs in both Finnish and English. The lyrics and chords will be on the screen.
You will find more tips of activities that you can also enjoy on and around May Day in a news article by the City of Espoo.
