Despite the coronavirus epidemic, support services are available to children, young people and families as usual. If you need support in everyday life, please contact us:

Maternity and child health clinics

Maternity and child health clinics’ centralised appointment booking and counselling number, tel. 09 816 22800, Mon–Fri 8:30–14:30. Our chat service is open from 10:00 to 13:00. To visit the open clinic, you need to book an appointment.

Joint service of Family Social Work, Family Work, domestic services and Family Counselling Centres

Please contact us if you need help and advice on your daily life as a family, your child’s daily rhythm, eating, sleeping or developmental challenges at different ages. Or perhaps you would like to talk to somebody or ask for advice on parenting, your relationship with your partner, life as a family or your children.

The best way to contact us is the Get help form. You can also call us, tel. 09 816 23600, Mon–Fri 8:30–15:00. We will call you back as soon as possible, within three weekdays at the latest. During the call, we will assess your situation together to find out how we can help your family and how to arrange this help.

Pupil and student welfare and health

Student Welfare Services – school psychologists, school welfare officers, school nurses and school doctors – are there to help you as always. They will quickly respond if you contact them.  Pupils, students and their parents can turn to them for help.

Youth Services

Espoo Youth Services meets young people and organises activities online. You can also reach youth workers through the Youth Services social media accounts.

Discord: digital youth space can be found at bit.ly/nuoriespood. Whenever our Discord youth space is open, there are at least two youth workers online. All young people can freely contact them, whatever they have on their mind. The digital youth space is open from Monday to Thursday between 15:00 and 21:00 and on Fridays and Saturdays from 16:00 to 22:00.

Swedish-speaking youth workers have their own Discord channel at https://discord.gg/2h8XXcj. The Swedish-speaking youth workers are online from Monday to Friday between 15:00 and 20:00.

Ohjaamotalo’s Discord channel is a place where young people under 30 years of age can get advice on matters such as housing, job-seeking, studies and leisure time. Ohjaamotalo’s staff are online from Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 16:00.

The Sekasin chat. Youth workers from Espoo participate in the Sekasin chat service at sekasin247.fi. The Sekasin chat is a one-on-one chat service for young people where they can discuss things on their mind. The national Sekasin chat is open every day of the year: Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 24:00, Saturdays and Sundays between 15:00 and 24:00.

The Ärligt talat chat. Swedish-speaking young people can for example turn to the Ärligt talat chat service provided by UngInfo Luckan at arligttalat.fi.

Outreach youth work  continues to serve individual clients by phone, on Ohjaamotalo’s Discord channel and also face to face, if this is necessary. Face-to-face meetings are mostly conducted outdoors where it is easy to maintain a safe distance.

During the coronavirus epidemic, meetings are organised remotely whenever possible, or as one-on-one meetings if necessary. Please note that you can only attend face-to-face meetings if you are healthy. All our staff members adhere to THL’s safety instructions during face-to-face meetings.
