The medical helpline is open when health centres are closed. A new telephone number 116117 replaced the earlier medical advice number 09 87 10023.
The medical helpline 116117 serves Espoo residents at 16–08 on weekdays and around the clock at weekends. Always call 116117 before you go to an emergency clinic. The medical helpline will tell you where you need to go to get help. The helpline also provides advice in sudden health issues if your health centre is closed.
The service is free of charge and has a call-back system: your number is saved in the system, and someone will call you back as soon as possible. The service is provided by HUS, the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa.
On weekdays at 8–16, on-call services are provided by your health centre
For on-call services at a health centre, you can either make an appointment online at espoo.fi/e-healthcentre or go directly to the health centre. If you need instructions, you can call your health centre on weekdays at 7–18, tel. 09 816 34500 (Oma Lääkärisi Espoontori 09 855 4303, Oma Lääkärisi Matinkylä 09 855 4100 / 8–16).
In emergencies, call 112.
