Services and Appointment

The Espoo student health service offers preventative healthcare to young people and their families. The service is designed to promote, in collaboration with the student welfare team, teachers and parents, the health and well-being of everyone within the school and a school environment that is conducive to everyone’s safety and well-being. The student health service is delivered in collaboration with Espoo’s health centres.

Espoo’s maternity and child health clinics, the school health service and the student health service form a healthcare continuum allowing healthcare professionals access to the service users health records to promote their health and welfare.

A free service

The student health service is free to all students enrolled at an educational institution in Espoo, regardless of where they are domiciled. Under 18s and students in full-time education are exempt from healthcare client fees from Monday to Friday. In order to qualify for the exemption, you will need present a valid student ID card or matriculation certificate issued by your institution at the patient services office.

Nurses are in attendance at all Espoo educational institutions on designated days and can be contacted by telephone, Wilma message (upper secondary schools only) or e-mail throughout the school week.
