Services and appointment
The Espoo school health service and how to make an appointment
School health services offer preventative healthcare to children, young people and their families. The service is designed to foster the health and well-being of everyone within the school and to promote a school environment that is conducive to everyone’s safety and well-being.
Espoo’s maternity and child health clinics, school health services and, in future, student health services form a healthcare continuum that allows healthcare professionals to access the service users’ health records to promote their health and welfare.
Health checks carried out by the Espoo school and student health service are organised in line with the Finnish government decree on maternity and child health clinics, school and student health service and preventative dental care for children and young people.
School healthcare services are provided free of charge for all comprehensive school pupils.
