The City Council has selected Harri Rinta-aho to fill in for the Deputy Mayor of the Education and Cultural Services between the 10th of December 2018 to 31st of January 2019. After that Rinta-aho will hold the open office as the Deputy Mayor of the Education and Cultural Services until 31st of May 2021, or up to the point where the post will be filled permanently.
The post becomes vacant when the current Deputy Mayor of the Education and Cultural Services Aulis Pitkälä will retire in the beginning of February 2019. Pitkälä will be on vacation from the 5th of December.
Harri Rinta-aho works as the head-master of upper secondary school Etelä-Tapiolan lukio. Earlier he has also filled in for the director of the Finnish education.
